Deann Montchal, RN, BSN, MBA
Chief of Operations, UI Heart & Vascular Center
Deann has extensive experience in cardiac and vascular care both clinically and administratively. She received a bachelor of nursing degree from the University of Iowa and a master's in business administration/health care administration from the University of Phoenix.
Montchal joined the University in September 2001 as assistant director, Ambulatory Care Services. She began her role in health care as a registered nurse at UI Hospitals and Clinics in organ transplant and Surgical Intensive Care Unit. She spent extensive time working clinically and administratively for other cardiac programs including assisting Yuma Regional Medical Center in Arizona develope and open a diagnostic cardiac program including a new catheterization laboratory.
